The success of St. Matthias Catholic Academy depends on our strong educational program supported by our relationships with our volunteers and benefactors.

We depend on tuition paying families for a high percentage of our income, but we can never meet our financial obligations without our other streams of revenue.

BE A FAITHFUL DONOR!  Whether you are alumni, past school parent, former faculty, or a supporter of Catholic Education, we are looking for you to partner with us in this important mission of building strong, faith-filled leaders.  There are many ways for you to give to St. Matthias Catholic Academy and every gift is tax- deductible to the fullest extent of the law.  SMCA is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

  • Become a “Friend of SMCA” by pledging $1,000 for 5 years to help ensure the future of our Academy.  

  • Give any sized gift today to our ongoing “Friends of SMCA” Campaign.  Every donation whether it is $50 or $500, truly makes a difference in the lives of our students.

  • Contact your company to create a MATCHING GIFT opportunity.

  • Recommend us for a single grant or recurring grant through a DONOR ADVISED FUND.  This is an instrument that manages and invests your cash or property in order to grow your money for charitable giving.

  • Name St. Matthias Catholic Academy as a BENEFICIARY.  We are blessed by those who remember us in their wills or name us on life insurance policies and retirement plan accounts.  Contact bwehnes@stmatthiasca.org for more information or to notify us that you have named SMCA.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER!  We have activities, events, and fundraisers throughout the school year as part of our partnership with the Home Academy Association.  All volunteers who come in contact with students must be VIRTUS trained and have a completed background check.  The school office can assist you with more information.  Please call 718-381-8003.

The St. Matthias Educational Foundation is another avenue for donors.  This foundation is also a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit that raises funds expressly for the benefit of the students and programs at St. Matthias Catholic Academy.
