SMCA Christmas '21
Dear St. Matthias Family,
With the Christmas Season quickly approaching and a new year on the horizon, this is a good time to reflect on the many blessings we have here at St. Matthias Catholic Academy. We have been blessed with students, parents, faculty, and staff who have given so much to make SMCA the family that it is. As we continue to navigate through this COVID world, the daily sacrifices and commitment to the education, social/emotional, and spiritual well-being of our students have been inspirational. We have much to be proud of this year. The resilience of our community to bounce back from adversity combined with the perseverance to overcome so many obstacles has led to a very successful first third of the year.
A baby was born in Bethlehem two millennia ago and brought hope to the world. The hope that Christ brought is still with us today. The hope for a better tomorrow through the love we share with one another helps unite us as a family. He showed us the Way. This Christmas as we spend time with our family and friends let us remember how truly blessed we are to be making this journey together. Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” I’d like to wish you all a blessed Christmas and much blessings and happiness in the New Year.
Sincerely,
Neil Gering
