Established in 2003, the St. Matthias Educational Foundation is an autonomous 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation which supports the St. Matthias Catholic Academy’s mission of providing a quality Catholic education for its students.
Our Annual Fund Drive: Over the years, generous donations to the Educational Foundation have supported many grants which have benefitted the students and faculty of the Academy, such as:
ïTuition reduction grants for each student in the Academy
ïEducational testing of children with learning disabilities, speech and language services, and hearing screenings (through the Daniela D’Angelo Fund)
ïThe purchase of a 3-D printer, related supplies, and curriculum kits
ïChromebooks, SMART boards, computer tablets, microscopes, and interactive on-line textbooks
ïThe Library and Media Center in the Academy
ïScholarship contests based on a selected essay / art theme
ïThe purchase and installation of the air conditioner in a kindergarten classroom
ïMusic, Spanish, Mathletics, and Pearson reading programs
ïUpgrades of the stage lighting in the auditorium and the funding of a musical performed by the students
ïStudents’ Appreciation Day activities
ïTeachers’ Appreciation Luncheon
Double or Triple Your Gift to the Foundation: Many companies support education through matching gift programs. Your donation to the St. Matthias Educational Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, may be doubled or tripled by either your employer or your spouse’s employer. Please contact the human resources benefits office where you work to find out if they have a matching gift program.
Planned Giving/Tax Savings Programs: Contributions to the St. Matthias Educational Foundation can be made in other ways, including stocks, bequests, gift annuities and charitable trusts.
