Principal's Letter

Spring is a time of renewal and growth. We are so happy to be experiencing this here at St. Matthias Catholic Academy. For example, our Second Grade Class is growing plants from seeds.

Caterpillars, lady bugs and a praying mantis can be found in a number of classrooms throughout the school enhancing our science curriculum. We are anxiously awaiting our caterpillars to transform into butterflies.

Spiritually we are preparing for First Holy Communion through the sacrament of Reconciliation. We are also getting ready for the May Crowning.

Fun activities continued to be experienced here this spring. Hero day was recently celebrated. Our students, faculty, staff and parents shared in an awareness of all our heroes. And in a special way we raised and donated money to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital Comfort Dog Program.

We are greatly anticipating our St. Matthias Catholic Academy First Annual Walkathon as well as a Virtual Bingo Night!

Here at St. Matthias Catholic Academy we continue our growth and renewal through all our, social, academic and spiritual activities.

With the continued cooperation of students, parents, faculty and staff and through the intercession of our Blessed Mother, Mary, we will continue making 2020 – 2021 a healthy and successful school year for all.
